Zircon from Mud Tank Zircon Field, Harts Ranges NT
Specimen Details
Zircon is a natural mineral found in a very small area in the central part of Australia, a remote area called the Mud Tank Zircon Field located on Alcoota Station, Northern Territory.
One side of this has been polished which gives it the greasy lustre. A nice touch to the specimen.
I acquired this specimen from Tony at Mineral Store Australia at the August 2016 Sydney Crystal Show.
